Westpac is looking for a Legal Assistant to join the team. This is a newly created role, and you will have real scope to shape how it works from the first month.
About the role
This is a contract/temp position based in Melbourne, VIC. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.
What you’ll be doing
- Report on progress and outcomes to the relevant manager
- Deliver day-to-day work to a consistently high standard, with clear handover notes
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
- Keep records accurate and up to date in our systems
- Work with your team lead to plan the week and flag risks early
What we’re looking for
- Relevant qualification or trade certification where the role requires it
- Attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership
- A positive, safety-first attitude
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team
What you’ll get
- A salary in the range of $136,000 – $165,000 per year
