DevOps Engineer

Optus is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team. This is a newly created role, and you will have real scope to shape how it works from the first month.

About the role

This is a part time position based in Geelong, VIC. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.

What you’ll be doing

• Work with your team lead to plan the week and flag risks early
• Report on progress and outcomes to the relevant manager
• Keep records accurate and up to date in our systems
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
• Deliver day-to-day work to a consistently high standard, with clear handover notes

What we’re looking for

• Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team
• A current driver’s licence (preferred, not essential for all locations)
• A positive, safety-first attitude
• Australian working rights
• Attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership

What you’ll get

• A salary in the range of $81,000 – $89,000 per year
