Customer Service Consultant

Optus is looking for a Customer Service Consultant to join the team. This is a newly created role, and you will have real scope to shape how it works from the first month.

About the role

This is a contract/temp position based in Newcastle, NSW. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver day-to-day work to a consistently high standard, with clear handover notes
• Contribute to continuous improvement — we act on good ideas quickly
• Keep records accurate and up to date in our systems
• Follow all safety, quality and compliance requirements relevant to the role
• Report on progress and outcomes to the relevant manager

What we’re looking for

• Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team
• A current driver’s licence (preferred, not essential for all locations)
• Relevant experience in a similar role, or demonstrated equivalent capability
• A positive, safety-first attitude
• Attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership

What you’ll get

• A salary in the range of $92,000 – $128,000 per year
