Accounts Payable Officer

Australia Post is looking for a Accounts Payable Officer to join the team. This is a newly created role, and you will have real scope to shape how it works from the first month.

About the role

This is a part time position based in Darwin, NT. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.

What you’ll be doing

• Report on progress and outcomes to the relevant manager
• Follow all safety, quality and compliance requirements relevant to the role
• Contribute to continuous improvement — we act on good ideas quickly
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Work with your team lead to plan the week and flag risks early

What we’re looking for

• Relevant experience in a similar role, or demonstrated equivalent capability
• Relevant qualification or trade certification where the role requires it
• A positive, safety-first attitude
• Australian working rights
• A current driver’s licence (preferred, not essential for all locations)

What you’ll get

• A salary in the range of $113,000 – $137,000 per year
