Australia Post is looking for a Garden Maintenance Labourer to join the team. This is a newly created role, and you will have real scope to shape how it works from the first month.
About the role
This is a contract/temp position based in Melbourne, VIC. You will report to the team lead and work alongside a group of people who take pride in doing the basics well.
What you’ll be doing
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work with your team lead to plan the week and flag risks early
- Contribute to continuous improvement — we act on good ideas quickly
- Report on progress and outcomes to the relevant manager
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
What we’re looking for
- A positive, safety-first attitude
- A current driver’s licence (preferred, not essential for all locations)
- Relevant qualification or trade certification where the role requires it
- Relevant experience in a similar role, or demonstrated equivalent capability
- Attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership
What you’ll get
- A salary in the range of $69,000 – $96,000 per year
